Registration Terms

The participant must be a Saudi national or a legal resident of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The participant must be at least 18 years old.

The idea should be in one of the main challenge tracks.

The outputs of ideas should be integrated media projects and initiatives that solve challenges, and not media products such as films, press reports, television programs, and other media templates.

Some media means suffer from traditional presentation and content, due to the repetition of some media figures, lack of innovation in artistic forms and media methods, and slow adoption of new methods of media and communication, which reduces the interest of some recipients in the media (television, radio, newspapers). It directs them to on-demand platforms, where local content is scarce.

FAQs

Come up with an idea for a creative project in one of the targeted challenges of Mediathon, then submit your idea by registering in the portal.

Projects can be presented in two languages: Arabic and English.

The owner of the idea is required to register his idea individually, then register the members of his team that may consist of minimum 2 to maximum 5 people.

There are no fees, all you have to do is to share your creative ideas with us.

It is not possible; it is allowed to register with one idea per participant.

The duration of “Mediathon” is 3 days, two virtual days (workshops), and the last day is (the day of the marathon and the final ceremony).

It is not necessary to attend the virtual Mediathon sessions, which are held during the reception period, and it is preferable to attend them to develop your creative idea.

Mediathon does not receive media products. It is a competition dedicated to presenting integrated projects and initiatives that contribute to solving media challenges.

The first stage is receiving and sorting ideas, the second stage is the nomination of the winning ideas, and the third stage is the workshops, and then enters “Mediathon” competition.

The award is given to the person through whom the idea was registered through Mediathon portal.
